The Project
Removal of a group of three diseased ash trees by section-felling within the sensitive enclosure of Shinfield Cemetery with limited space and access.
The Local Authority instructed L.Smith Tree Surgery to remove a group of three ash trees from within Shinfield Cemetery.
There was a lack of access and working space on site. This required highly sensitive and respectful dismantling and lowering of timber using rigging systems, off-site processing and hire of a small, narrow stump grinder to avoid damage or disturbance to graves and to treat visitors with the utmost consideration. Questions from visitors were answered in a highly considerate manner.
All green waste and timber was dragged off-site, processed and removed to be recycled.
L.Smith Tree Surgery received extremely positive feedback for professional conduct from the Cemeteries Administrator.
